"I command you- be strong and courageous... For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9, NLT
Psalm 91 verses 14-16 Jennifer Watson style
14 “Because Jennifer Watson loves me,” says the LORD, “I will RESCUE her;
I will protect her, for she acknowledges my name.
15 She will call on me, and I will answer her;
... I will be with her in trouble,
I will deliver her and honor her.
16 With long life I will satisfy her
and show her my salvation.”
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
"Worry is like a rocking chair: It gives you something to do, but doesn't get you anywhere." "Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully." 1 Peter 5:7 AMP
Jennifer and Sean have been married for 14 years and are raising 4 beautiful children- ages 17 months to eleven years. Sean is a middle school teacher and coach and Jen is a reading tutor.
Mid April of 2011, Jen was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She will be in the hospital receiving chemotherapy treatments and will not be able to return to work for a while. Sean will be taking time off from work to help care for her and their children. In addition to her husband Sean, Jen has the love and support of her mother Jeanne, and devoted care from her sisters and brothers. Sean's family is also showering them with love, prayers, and support from Ohio.
There are many people who want to help them but don't know how. This site will hopefully serve as a guide with ways to meet specific needs in the upcoming months. Jen cannot be exposed to flowers, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, certain foods, and especially ANY germs while she is undergoing treatments and for several months. This fund is designed to collect donations that the family will use as their specific needs arise. The house is already filled with such generosity from their loved ones, it will soon be filled to the ceiling. With preparations to eventually get Jen home, a sterile environment is a must. What a better way to show our support, by providing a fund that Jen and Sean can use as their needs arise, and not clutter their house in the process.
Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
